Kathak, one of the six Indian classical dance form is characterized by rhythmic footwork and danced under the weight of more than 100 ankle bells, spectacular spins, and the dramatic representation of themes and drama.
The word Kathak is derived from Katha, meaning "The art of story telling". The influence of Kathak is visible in the Spanish and Flamenco Tradition.
ARPAN is affiliated with Pracheen Kala Kendra of India and students (kathak) are getting degrees & certificates from Pracheen Kala Kendra upon completion of their yearly exam.
